The PGA Tour declared the full schedule for the 2020-21 PGA Tour season, includes 50 official FedExCup events from these 14 tournaments that were postponed or canceled Due to pandemic. In 2021, the FedEx Cup champion Labor Day weekend ends.
In 2020 season three tournaments U.S. Open, Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship, and Masters Tournament were delayed. These tournaments will take place in the autumn part of the 2020-21 season and will play on their original dates on the 2021 schedule. Moreover, due to the pandemic, 11 events were canceled and were not rescheduled, such as The Players championship.
Moreover, the summer Olympic Games in Tokyo were postponed in 2020, the men's Olympic golf event will be held for the first time as an independent event from July 26th to August 1st, 2021.
PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said: "We are pleased to introduce a complete 2020-21 PGA Tour schedule-a "super season" consisting of 50 fully sponsored events, and based on the 15th FedEx Playoffs. If you are a golf lover, then this a great season as it consists of major events than ever, such as the Olympics.
The 2020 season will start on 7-13 September at the Safeway Open in Napa, California, and will conclude with the Mayakoba Golf Classic from 30 November to 6 December. In 2021 the tour return with the Sentry Tournament of Champions, which will start from 4-10 January and will conclude with the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta on 5th September 2021.
