On Monday The Korn Ferry Tour revised the 2020 schedule with an extra modification, also they start a fall calendar of tournaments the first time that will be part of the 2020-21 Korn Ferry Tour season.
The Korn ferry Tour fall schedule was declared just after the PGA Tour announcement. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, 13 golf events were canceled or postponed of the 2019-20 tour season. The eligibility for the exemption was extended 2019-20 PGA TOUR members for the 2020-21 season. These alterations will bring about the Korn Ferry Tour not having a graduating class in 2020.
The 2020 Korn Ferry revised schedule will begin on 11 June 2020 and the same day the PGA Tour set to come back at Colonial, with the Korn Ferry Challenge on the Dye's Valley course which will be played at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Korn Ferry Tour started few new events to compensate for the loss of play opportunities this season. The new tournament The King and The Bear golf course will happen from 17-20 June at the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Florida.
There will be two new events that will be played consecutive weeks in July at TPC San Antonio. The first will start on 9-12 July and next from 15-18 July.
Initially, the season 2020 was scheduled to end at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, which will be held at Victoria National Golf Club in Indiana, where 25 best players of the regular season received points and PGA Tour cards for the next season. Now the Korn Ferry Tour final event will be played on 30 August as per the original date but it will determine the 10 best players in points that will receive limited PGA Tour status for the 2020-2021 season.
