Recent LPGA Announced New Schedule of 2024

After an ongoing impact of the global Covid-19 pandemic LPGA Tour with the collaboration of its partners, today declared the revised 2020 schedule with extra changes.

On Friday LPGA informed its athletes that LPGA Tour will resume the 2020 schedule in mid-July. They also said that the next five tournaments which were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic will be rescheduled for later this year.

LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan said that One thing that has become clear is that in this new normalcy of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no opening bell for a comeback to safe play. To be honest that the goal was never to be first when it comes again to playing in this new normal. We have created a calendar that we believe is as protected as conceivable as we know about travel restrictions, testing accessibility, and host events that our supporters and our competitors will be eager to join in.

The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship will move from 19-21 June to 28-30 August 2020. The Marathon Classic presented by Dana in Sylvania, Ohio will move from 9-12 July to 23-26 July 2020.

On Wednesday the PGA of America declared that the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, which will be held at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa will move from original date 25-28 June to 8-11 October 2020. Further changes have made in the complete LPGA Tour 2020 schedule.

The Meijer LPGA Classic which was postponed will be rescheduled for 1-4 October 2020. The Pelican Women’s Championship presented by DEX will reschedule for November it will move later to 19-22 November 2020.

At last the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Fla will shift from 19-22 November to 17-20 December 2020 and this will be the final tournament for the LPGA 2020 Schedule.

Because of the short time and limited dates availablity the LPGA Tour will not able to reschedule the all postponed tournaments such as the UL International Crown Volvik Founders Cup, the Lotte Championship, the HUGEL-AIR PREMIA LA Open, and the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship. These events will return on the 2021 schedule.
