In 2016 it was first held and from 2002-2007 it was organized by the Peek'n Peak Classic. Every year this tournament captivating the world’s top amateurs including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas.
Previous year’s champion of this event was Chesson Hadley and runner-up Beau Hossler, in 2017-18 they are using their victory as a springboard to the PGA Tour, so this season same results can be expected from challengers.
In 1993 the course at Peek's Peak opened its 1st nine, and its 2nd time was held after three years. John Exley has designed this course, who additionally spread out the Whispering Woods course in Erie, Pennsylvania. In 2006, the course experienced a gentle update, in which the previous tenth opening was supplanted by another standard three, between current gaps four and six. The course crosses a wild stretch of the resort property, plunging and climbing slopes soak enough for ski trails, pioneering a trail past lakes and over rivers.
