In the old era, the most aged player and the one who secured eight wins was Sam Snead (1938, 1946, 1949, 1950, 1955, 1956, 1960, and 1965). Both of his records are still unbeaten. Players who have won this tournament two times were Sandy Lyle, Byron Nelson, Brandt Snedeker, Danny Edwards, Rocco Mediate, Doug Sanders, George Archer, and Billy Casper. Wyndham Championship 2019 was won by J. T. Poston from the United States of America  Before 2003 the event was organized in the months of April or May, later changed, and is now played in August. In 2007, the event's sponsor was changed from DaimlerChrysler to Wyndham Hotels and Resorts naming the event Wyndham Championship after removing Greensboro from the title. Looking at the winning list of the Championship United States is the one with the most wins in the history of the tournament.
